[Tracy Leung](https://medium.com/@tracyleung%5F?ref=design-bytes.com) has a fascinating piece about Designing AI for the Human Mind.

I was intrigued by a number of her observations. Particularly

> Metacognition — it’s thinking about your own thinking.

Her description of the **“Designer’s Seesaw”** is facinating:

> - **Enhancing users’ metacognitive abilities** (helping them perform their metacognition better)
> - **Reducing AI’s metacognitive demands** (making the tool less mentally taxing)

Also this:

> “...we need more designers who understand these metacognitive challenges. It’s not just about making AI tools that work — it’s about making them work with how our brains work.”
